Craig formed Cetek Services Ltd. in 1978 as a small home renovation company based in North Vancouver B.C.
Primarily involved in general contracting and project management, the company focused on the installation of pools, spas and saunas and their related decks, patios, out buildings and indoor areas.
In 1983-84 Craig had an opportunity to get involved with the emerging Vancouver film and television industry. He has worked in the construction and design areas of the industry since then; first as a scenic carpenter, then advancing to construction coordinator (the film equivalent of project/construction manager).
Film construction, although temporary, can involve many aspects of general construction, including structural engineering, temporary scaffold structures and the use of heavy equipment. In his career to date Craig has had the opportunity to manage projects of all type and scope, including the management of large groups of personnel. He has also utilized his skills in resource management, labour relations, schedule management and budget administration.
Craig has a well rounded knowledge of common construction practices used in industry today and is often sought out for his opinion. His construction experience over the years includes not only film and commercial and residential projects but also various other areas of expertise, such as heavy/industrial and marine construction. He has also taken advantage of his film construction knowledge and introduced some film techniques to his own projects.
Over the years Craig has been fortunate to collaborate with and learn from a very diverse talent pool of producers, designers, carpenters, painters, artists and subcontractors. Craig continues to consult with architects and designers and manage a talented group of artisans and quality subcontractors working on film, residential, commercial, event and display projects.
As well as design, construction and project management Craig also provides property management and maintenance services for his clients.
